12. As existing trees reach their maturity or are lost
from other causes, they are to be replaced in kind in so
far as it is practicable to do so.
 
    13. The house and grounds are to be maintained in good
repair and condition by the life tenants if they are
occupying the house; otherwise, by the United States
Government.
 
    14. The transfer of the property should be completed
some
time during the first week in November at the President's
expressed desire.
 
    15. Authority to transfer the property is contained in
the Joint Resolution of the 76th Congress, dated July 18,
1939.
 
    Arrangement have been made to have the abstract of title
and the draft of the deed of conveyance passed on to me in
order that they may be reviewed and cleared by the
Department and to be made ready for acceptace by the
Secretary of the Interior by the first week of November.
