Subject: Transmitting Copy of Letter from the   
          Honorable Myron C. Taylor, Vatican City           
 
                                                            
 
 
There is enclosed a copy of a strictly confidential letter, with its   
enclosure, written by Mr. Myron Taylor on September 9, 1944 which was   
brought to this country by his assistant, Mr. Harold Tittmann, who   
arrived in Washington on September 11.  Since the original communication   
wa in longhand Mr. Taylor requested Mr. Tittmann to have it typed here   
              and forwarded to you in Quebec.
