Dear Franklin:
I wrote to Arnold Berge,who occupies the Dumphy house,
to find out why he was not paying any rent to me.
He came in a few days ago and said that he had been very
much disappointed in his partner and also that his ski
pole industry had not panned out very well.
He claimed that he had great difficulty in keeping the
house warm this winter, but finally said he would soon
comence
paying rent.
