Dear Franklin:
 
              I acknowledge receipt of your memorandum of 
Sept. 24th containing your school tax bills, amounting in 
all to $623.83. I have sent a check to the collector to 
pay them as I believe they are correct. After this check 
is cashed, there will only be $33.29 in the bank account.
