Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt
The White House
Washington, D. C.
Dear Franklin:
Last winter it twice became necessary to hire
Waelde the welder to thaw out the waper pipe leading from
the well to the house on the Dumphy place occupied by Arnold
Berge.
The distance between the house and the well, which is in the
chicken house, is about 100 feet and the present pipe
now runs part way under an old wood house used as a garage.
I think it would be a good idea to dig a new
trench below the frost and run a new pipe direct from the
well to the house to avoid further freezing.
Kindly let me know what you think about it.
Sincerely yours,
Franklin Roosevelt
