In this connection reference is to be made once
more to the remainder of the government of the State
of Austria. In order to understand the whole adminis-
trative expenditure for the fiscal years 1939 and 1940 for
the territory of the Reich enlarged by Austria and
the Sudetenland, the amounts must be included that were
used for this remaining government, which were deducted
by the Reich as tax transfers but are not included in
the-statements of cash needed by the States, Reich
Territories and Communes. As this remaining government
is under the direct control of the Reich, it is probably most
practical to place the sums used for it under the
heading of cash needed by the Reich.
Another correction refers to the Special Fund for
Marriage Loans and Bonuses for Children. This special funds fed
from Reich tax transfers, which are deducted by the Reich, and
from grants from the Reich Institution got. Unemployment
Insurance etc .Beesides, It has its own income from repayment of
loans. From all of these means taken together, marriage loans and
bonuses for children are granted in varying amounts. The budget of the
Special Fund, which is thus set apart from and made independent
of the Reich budget, closed for the last two fiscal years
with receipts and expenditures of 0.6 billion RM each.
