The article states German and occupied territories produce 1,500,000 tons of natural oil annually; Romania, 6,000,000 tons; other Balkan countries, 500,000 tons; Germany, a few million tons of synthetic gasoline". Assuming, to be on the safe side, that "few million tons" is equivalent to 5,000,000 tons, this still makes total German production not more than 1,100,000 tons a month.
