China which they intend to seize and fortify Germany and Italy would be
far more apt to act in the Black Sea region.  So it seems to me that
just now our Govt., England and France, with Holland navy in Far East
can ask co-operation of Russia and save the situation.  Certainly if
this dictatorial system goes on two more years unchecked as in
Etheopia, Spain and now China, a combination of democratic (near
democratic) states may not save themselves.  I am taking this liberty
to write you because I know we have the same ideas and because I have
watched and studied things in Berlin four sad years.  All
representatives of democratic countries in Berlin have again and again
said: "The United States is the only nation that can save our
civilization."
