Liaison officers.
The Admiralty, War Office, Air Ministry, Home
Office, G H Q (Home forces) Ministry of Information,
Postal and Telegraphic Censorship, Secret Intelligence
Service, Security Service and Metropolitan Police have
regular liaison officers attached to the staff by the
Executive. In this way daily contact is main-
tained between the Security, Executive and these
departments. This has many advantages. Security
Intelligence coming from any source at home or
abroad is pooled and the liaison officer insures that
such information at once reaches the branch of his
ministry most directly concerned. Prompt consultation
can take place between the chairman or his chief of-
ficer and several departments;
