the receipts of the organizations from dues and assessments
will, if the two last named are lncluded, scarcely be lower
in 1940 than in 1939. For the promotion of exports, only
about 0.7 billion RM will be needed, in consequence of the
drop in exportation. In all, we can thus assume that the
expenditures of the organizations, including the promotion
of exportation, covered by their own income from dues and
assessments, were 2.8 billion RM in 1958 and 2.9 billion RM
in 1939 and will be some 2.7 billion RM in 1940. Of these
figures, that for 1958 refers to the o1d Reich, while the
two figures for the years 1939 ana 1940 are for the terri-
tory of the Reich as extended by Austria and the Sudetenland.
VII. The Public Budget and the Social Product
If, eliminating the amortization of debts the formation of
reserves and of capital, and all duplications that may
result from transfers and shifts of credit among the
various public bodies, we combine the amount of money needed
by the Reich, the States, the Communes and associations of
Communes, the Reich Auto Roads, the Special Funds for Marriage
loans and Bonuses for Chlidren, the Reich Institution for
Unemployment Insurance, etc., and the other industrial insurance,
as well as all auxiliary fiscal organization, we get an amount of 45 to 46
billion RM in the
