sent to BREST. A few other aircraft were sea-mining. Reports

Water-logged aerodromes
in the forward area have restricted our operations.
8th. A squadron of Marylands bombed a castal vessel and stores
dumps near RAS EL ALI. Blenheims bombed HALFAYA defences intermittently
during the day scoring hits on gun emplacements M.T. and dumps.
In the JEDABYA area ten R.A.A.F. Kittyhawk fighters attacked
24 bombers escorted by 28 fighters which were dive-bombing our
troops. Seven enemy aircraft were destroyed, four probably destroyed
and four damaged. One Kittyhawk is missing. Beau fighters set
fire to a 300 tons ship off BUERAT EL HSUN.
Far East - Malaya
7th. Four Hudson scored
four hits and several near misses on a 600 ton Japanese ship
260 miles East of KOTA BHARU and on 7th and 8th a Catalina bombed
GONG KEDAH Aerodrome (South-East of KOTA BHARU)
