. 29th. 40 enemy fighters were 
      intercepted in the RANGOON aroa by Tomahawks of the
 
      American Volunteer Group who are reported to have destroyed 12, 
      probably destroyed 8 and
 
      damaged 9 without loss to themselves. 
 
      
MALAYA
. 27th/28th. Our aircraft bombed KUANTAN aerodrome.
 
      27th. Our troops in the forward areas were bombed and machine 
      gunned by enemy aircraft.
 
      One enemy fighter was destroyed and another damaged by our fighters. 
      SINGAPORE ISLAND was
 
      attacked on the 28th and 28th/29th. Damage was slight.
