Nov. 15th,1935.
Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt

Washington, D.C.
Dear Franklin:
I acknowledge receipt,of yours of the 11th
instant containing contracts and check for $2,450. to the order
of Peter C. Rohan, which I have just delivered to him.
He tells me that there are about fifty acres of corn
stubble on the farm which should be plowed this Fall, and
says that he will have it plowed at $4. an acre, and that a
man and a team cannot plow much more than an acre a day.
He says that he will have the manure hauled out and
spread on the plowed ground at $2.00 a load a day and that there
are about 150 days from now to April 1, 1936. He thinks that it will
be better not to put the lime on the ground until next Spring.
I have received the deed executed by the three
Executors of Mrs. Rogers' estate ready to be recorded. If you will
kindly send me a check to the order of the "Estate of AnneC. Rogers"
for $5,000. I will record the deed and deliver the check to
Mr. Edmund P. Rogers.
With Kindest regards, I am
Sincerely yours,
[Henry T. Hackett]
