                                       January 15, 1936.
Dear Henry:

What would you think of offering
Schaeffer $ 500 for his wood lot and the lane, allowing
him to use the lane as far back as his land would then
go? The reason I am rather keen to get the Jones land
and the wood lot is that if anyone lived on top of the
hill on the easterly end of the Newbold land, that Jones
property could be made a very definite nuisance.

I expect to be home February
twenty-third forthree of four days, and count on seeing
you then.

                       As ever yours,

Henry T. Hackett, Esq.,
