Dear Henry:-

Thank you much for yours of the twelfth, I am
delighted you have enough money to pay the proportionate
share of the taxea on the land bought from the Rogers.

In regard to buying the whole of Schaeffer's place,
it is, as I remember it, not very good land, and incidentally,is
separated from the Peter Rohan place by another farm.
What would you think of offering him $750 for his wood lot
adn the right of way and stopping there?

                  I get home the twenty-third.

                               As ever yours,

 Henry T. Hackett, Esq.,
 236 Union Street
 Poughkeepsie,
 New York.
