Nov. 20th, 1939. Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt The White House Washington, D. C. Dear Franklin: Hatfield received a letter this morning from Mrs. Adams of Provincetown, Mass., one of the Lent heirs, saying that she would sign a deed to the wood lot for $200. I prepared a deed and drew a check to him for $200. and gave them to Hatfield this morning to be forwarded at once to the First National Bank of Provincetown, Mass. When this deed returns it means that you will have title to 3/6 or 1/2 of the wood lot. There is a $200. check still at the Merchants Bank of Poughkeepsie waiting for Mrs. Leo to sign and send her deed there. Last Summer Mrs. Leo told Hatfield that she wouldsign if her sister, Mrs. Adams, would do so. It looks as though we may now be able to get the entire title before Spring. With kindest regards, I am Sincerely yours, Henry Hackett |
