Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt
The White House
Washington, D. C.

Dear Franklin:

When you were at Hyde Park on May 6th I told
you about George P. Davis, who lives on Violet Avenue,
opening a door and falling to the cellar under the barn on
the Dumphy farm. At the time of the accident on Feb. 20th I
reported it to the insurance company represented by Mr. W.
W. Luckey and it has been trying to settle the matter with
Davis.

Today, I learned that Davis is about to start
an action through his attorney, James E. Carroll of this
city.

              With kindest regards, I am
                            Sincerely yours,
                            Henry Hackett
