April 2nd, 1941. Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt The White House Washington, D. C. Dear Franklin: In compliance with your request of March l0th, I called on Major Hooker at his office in New York City on March 20th to ascertain what he wanted to see me about. He told me that you wanted me to submit a proposed deed of trust of John Boettiger and proposed Wills of John Boettiger and Anna Roosevelt Boettiger to the Pougkkeepsie Trust Company to find out if it would act as successor trustee and what compensation it would expect to receive. I have submitted the deed and Wills to the Poughkeepsie Trust Company and it has consented to act as successor trustee and will accept whatever compensation therefor is allowed by law. Last night I returned the deed and Wills to Major Hooker with a letter from the Poughkeepsie Trust Company. With kindest regards, I am Sincerely yours, Henry Hackett |
