Feb. 20th, 1941. Miss Marguerite LeHand The White House Washington, D. C. My dear Miss LeHand: I acknowledge receipt of your two letters of February 18th, one enclosing check for $1,000. from the President towards paying his taxes at Hyde Park. I believe that the liability insurance has at last been settled and Mr. Hall Roosevelt's name has been added to the policy which covers all of the property owned by the President and his mother. In checking over the amount of the taxes for the last time, I found that the actual amount is $1,546.07 instead of $1,567.02. The following is a statement of the properties and the taxes on each, viz: Bennett farm $ 378.95 Tompkins farm 86.84 Briggs' wood lot 5.27 Dutchess Hill 226.32 Rohan Farm 263.16 Rogers Land 21.05 Hughson Farm 157.89 Wright Land 25.00 Dumphy farm, west of Violet Ave. (G.
