May 21, 1942. Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt The White House Washington, D.C. Dear Franklin: I have prepared the petition and account of the Trustees of the trust created under your father's Will for the benefit of your mother from the figures furnished me, and have submitted the same to the Fulton Trust Company and the Bankers Trust Company, as one of the Executors of your brother's Will. You will remember that you are entitled to one-half of this fund and your brother's estate to the other half thereof. J. R. Roosevelt, Jr. takes no part thereof. There has been criticism from the Bankers Trust Company regarding the allocation of stock dividends and other matters. I will be glad to prepare a waiver and approval of all acts of all the Trustees to be signed by you and Mrs. Roosevelt and Mrs. Robinson and your children because they are entitled to the trust fund set up for Mrs. Roosevelt after her death. This should do away with all objections from anysource. I would like to see you about this matter, if convenient for you, the next time you are at Hyde Park. With kindest regards, I am Sincerely yours Henry Hackett |
