Although a few inquiries have been made regarding this
property, no new offers to purchase any of the land have
been received since the April 1, 1947 meeting of the
Executors. Joseph P. Day, Inc. is still interested in
obtaining the exclusive agency to sell the property at
auction on the terms and conditions previously outlined. In
accordance with the conclusion reached at the April 1, 1947
meeting of the Executors, Secretary of Interior Krug has
been advised that the Trustees are without power to impose
the drastic "scenic easements" and restrictions suggested

restrictions. Some reasonable restrictions on this land
are, of course, desirable and a suggested form of
reasonable restrictions is submitted herewith for the
consideration of the Trustees. All affirmative action has
been held in abeyance pending the final decision of the
Trustees.
