It was unanimously decided to grant Mrs. Roosevelt the
permission requested in the letter to allow the farmer and
his family and all livestock to remain in the present farm
buildings until that property should be sold or Mrs.
Roosevelt is able to move them elsewhere, whichever should
first occur. It was further unanimously decided that the
Executors would make such repairs to te Moses Smith house
and farm buildings as may be permitted by law prior to the
actual sale of the property to Mrs. Roosevelt. Mr. Koons
was directed to advise Mrs. Roosevelt that she should
submit a detailed statement of any repairs to be made in
order for the Executors to determine whether or not the
contemplated work fell into the category of repairs as
distinguished from capital improvements. With respect to
the possibility of selling farm buildings to Mrs. Roosevelt
for salvage purposes it was upon motion of Mr. O'Connor
unanimously decided that in the event the property is not
sold for farm purposes and a satisfactory arrangement can
be worked out with the prospective purchaser, the Executors
would be willing to enter into a suitable contract with
Mrs. Roosevelt whereby she would be given the right to
demolish the buildings and remove the same from the
property at her expense.
