My dear Miss LeHand:
I am enclosing herewith for the President a copy
of a despatch dated May 9, 1938, from the American
Ambassador at Berlin, transmitting a letter which
Prince Louis Ferdinand has written to the President.
It will be noted that Prince Louis and his wife
expect to arrive at New York on the steamer
Bremen
on May twenty-sixth. The Department has already
requested the Treasury Department to extend customs
courtesies and free entry to Prince Louis and his
bride.
