Dear Henry:
Will you get the Central Hudson Gas & Electric
Corporation to put in the pole in the rear of the
Tompkins house? What I object to is the excessive
charge of these electric light companies for any
work they do. A thirty-foot pole could and should
be installed for not to exceed $15.00. In the
case of the other poles which I put in at the Smith
and Tompkins houses, I proved very conclusively that
the Company charged just above twice what it should
be. However, I suppose it is worth while to save
time and trouble and pay the excess cost.
