Warm Springs, Georgia, October 8, 1931. Henry T. Hackett 226 Union Street Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Dear Henry: Will you get the Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation to put in the pole in the rear of the Tompkins house? What I object to is the excessive charge of these electric light companies for any work they do. A thirty-foot pole could and should be installed for not to exceed $15.00. In the case of the other poles which I put in at the Smith and Tompkins houses, I proved very conclusively that the Company charged just above twice what it should be. However, I suppose it is worth while to save time and trouble and pay the excess cost. Always sincerely, |
