Subject: Repairs to Private Electric Line
Extension Serving the Tenant House on the
Moses Smith Farm, Violet Ave., Hyde Park, N.Y.

Dear Sir:

The tenant house on the Moses Smith Faw,, which we
understand is the property of Governor Roosevelt, is served
by a privately owned electric line extension.

As a result of the rerouting and change of grading of Violet
Avenue, the service wires, from the last pole of this
private extension to the building, now extend over the new
concrete road and there is not sufficient clearance between
the road bed and these wires. This condition as it now
exists presents a hazard that might result in a serious
accident. To provide sufficient clearance for these wires
over the highway it will be necessary that a 30 ft. pole be
placed on the east side of the highway in order to support
these wires with a minimum clearance of 20 ft. over the
road bed.

If there are any questions you may have with regard to this
situatiSn we will be pleased to go over the details with
you at your conveniences

                                Yours very truly,
