28th/29th. 34 Wellingtons bombed BENG HAOI harbour. Two ships 
      were hit. 5 naval aircraft from MALTA bombed TRIPOLI aerodrome. 
      One enemy bomber was destroyed and others probably damaged.

      Nothing of importance.
 
      EGYPT. 28th, dusk. Enemy aircraft bombed railhead at SIDI BARRANI 
      and set fire to a dump.

HOME SECURITY
 
      One bomb was dropped in daylight in Northern IRELAND; no damage 
      or casualties.

LIBYA
 to evening 30th. At 1400/29th German armoured 
      forces attacked NEW OEALAND division in SIDI REOEGH area from 
      East and South East with object of cutting it off and encircling 
      it. One of our armoured brigades, strength about 60 tanks, moved 
      North at 1400 and were reported about 6 miles South of SIDI REOEGH 
      engaging enemy at 1645. This armoured brigade had previously 
      been attacked by 16 enemy tanks about one mile further South; 
      we lost 3 tanks, enemy casualties unknown.
 
      
 
 
Our support group was very active and successful against rear 
      of 21st German armoured division which was attacking NEW OEALAND 
      division from East.
 
      
 
 
Corridor to TOBRUK reported clear and positions intact on 
      evening 29th.
 
      
 
 
Enemy ship reported to have landed supplies near MERSA LUKA 
      between TOBRUK and BARDIA.
 
      Enemy tanks refuelled in area North East of SIDI 0MAR and our 
      armoured cars are patrolling this area.
 
      On 28th patrol of long range desert forces shot up vehicles and 
      personnel on road 40 miles North of AGEDABIA; other patrols active 
      in the area BENGHAOI, MECHILI and DERNA.
