Grade III- Those who present such marked physical disabilities
or evidence of past disease that they are not fit for the amount
of exertion required for Grade II.
Grade IV - Those who suffer from progressive organic disease
or are for other reasons permanently incapable of the kind or
degree of exertion required for Grade III. These men are unfit
for any form of service.
After examination men are posted to the Services as required.
The figures given below do not therefore relate to a particular
Service, but to the Services as a whole.

(1) Apart from men who have been medically examined, 25,039
men liable for Service who are obviously crippled or have lost
limbs have not been medically examined or called up.

(3) Men placed in Grade III, although liable for Service,
have not in general yet been called up.
