Three 4,000 pound bombs were dropped in the M.T. dispersal area and large fires were started. MALAYA. 22nd. Two enemy raids by a total of eighteen fighters were made on KUALA LUMPUR aerodrome. One enemy aircraft was destroyed, three of our fighters are missing and one crashed, three pilots safe. Three Dutch fighters were reported missing on the same day and a fourth crashed. SIAM . 21st. Our fighters from BURMA destroyed seven aircraft on an enemy aerodrome. HONG KONG. 20th. Three Chinese bombers escorted by six fighters were seen dive bombing the Japanese north of K0WLOON. (V) FRANCE A convoy of some twenty merchant ships to be escorted by warships is reported to be forming at CASABLANCA for MARSEILLES. Such a convoy is about four times the usual size for this route. |
