BRITISH EMBASSY, WASHIHGTON, D.C. 8th January, 1945. Dear Mr. President, I have Just had flown over to me, the new film - "Henry V.", produced by some of our people in England and, I think, in color. This was sent to me as a token of gratitude from the producers for my having managed to get one or two of their people home quickly on their ship. It has not been released yet, but I am told is really first class, and I am wondering whether you would care to have me send the film down to you any evening at the White House to see? It would be available any night except the 13th. I am told I really can safely recommend it to you without any misgivings. The Honorable Franklin Delano Roosevelt, President of the United States, The White House, Washington, D.C. |
