Dear Mr. President:
I am enclosing for your information copy of a letter I am today addressing
to the Honorable Dean Acheson, Assistant Seretary of State, relative to
American relief for Italy activites.
For your information, I enclose copy of a letter dated March 16, 1945
addressed to Field Marshal Alexander on the subject of the disposition of
excess war material, together with copy of reply, dated March 25, 1945
from the Assistant Chief of Administrative Officer of Allied Force
Headquarters.
Finally, I am sending herewith translation of a letter dated March 30,
1945 which I have received from Prime Minister Bonomi.
