-2-#6234, December 27, 7 p.m. (SECTION FIVE) from London up the executive's recommendations to see that they are carried out and that they prove workable in practice. Liaison officers. The Admiralty, War Office, Air Ministry, Home Office, G H Q (Home forces) Ministry of Information, Postal and Telegraphic Censorship, Secret Intelligence Service, Security Service and Metropolitan Police have regular liaison officers attached to the staff by the Executive. In this way daily contact is main- tained between the Security, Executive and these departments. This has many advantages. Security Intelligence coming from any source at home or abroad is pooled and the liaison officer insures that such information at once reaches the branch of his ministry most directly concerned. Prompt consultation can take place between the chairman or his chief of- ficer and several departments; WINANT WWC |
