     Although I went to the Palace quite alone at 9:30 in the evening, the fact of my going 
 
there was published in the press of yesterday. It is just possibe that someone
 
in the Palace gave it out although it was agreed before my going there that nothing would be; it is 
 
more likely that one of the "death watch" of reporters stationed outside the Palace recognized my 
 
car.
 
     In response to inquiries from the press yesterday I merely stated that I could make no
 
 comment and upon my informing the Foreign 0ffice thereof it promised to do the
 
same.
