They considered, howover, that the present situa-
tion had changed sufficiently to Justify the above stated
recommendations.
b. That the effect of this recomnondation on the plans
would be as follows:
(1) It will still be possible to accomplish this movement without interfering with the present
scheduled movements to Caribbean bases, COPPER and X.
(2) It will be neccscary to defer reinforcements to Indigo.
(3) This movement will not affect the movement of approximately 34,000 troops to COPPER by
May 15 and will potreit convoys of movenents to Ascension Island, Stilwell
Mission to Bombay, Wheeler and Maxwell Missions, 2600 Air
Corps to Bombay, and the 41st Division to X.
