The general purpose of his remarks was to prove that the British Government had at the last deliberately sabotaged peace and that the Polish Government and especially the Polish Ambassador here in failing to further direct negotiations with Germany had placed themselves in the wrong, at least insofar as the record of the negotiations was concerned.
