Other things made for field work and stock raising are to be delivered at an accelerated rate and to a larger extent. The persistent shortage of farm labor is to be counteracted by this mechanization. c. Lastly, a broad program is being worked out: the improvement of the village, which is to form the basis for a total reorganization of the conduct of farm- ing operations, in collaboration with all governmental, professional, industrial, communications and other organ- izations concerned. The amount needed for investment for the improvement of the village, that is, from the agricultural standpoint, the erection of dwellings for farm hands, shifting of population and villages, and general improvements, are estimated at from 60 to 75 billion. |
