sound population normally engaged in argriculture, manufacturing (industry) and transportion, 
 
almost 65% of the male population between the ages of 18 and 45 will be
 
in uniform by the end of Aprilof this year, in consequence of the
 
new call for over one million men.
 
     The estimates in the balance sheet of foodstuffs
 
and feeding stuffs for 1941 have been reduced in consequence
 
of the unfavorable weather conditions of the
 
month of April of this year. The shortage for Germany
 
must be eetimated as rather high, in comparison with
 
the spring calculations. That is true of almost all
 
foodstuff items, and in particular of the situation with respect to feeding stuffs (comparen the 
 
earlier statements).
