The island is under military government. The Italians
now occupy the easternmost province, and the Germans the
remainder. Guerrilla activities are widespread and backed
by the entire.population. An invading force could expect
considerable local assistance.
c. General.

(1) Any force operating in the DODECANESE or CRETE must
plan to bring all supplies with it.
(2) Turkish and Greek reaction to an invasion of the
DODECANESE and CRETE would be favorable.
