FIVE-ROOM HOME DESIGNED BY PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT
Architect's sketch of Dutch cottage drawn from Chief
Executive's own plans.  Building was started July 2 and
when erected will overlook his ancestral estate at Hyde
Park, N.Y., and will be used as his Summer retreat.  Legend
on drawing reads:  "Franklin D. Roosevelt, architect; Henry
J. Toombs, associate."  Toombs is a Warm Springs, Ga.,
architect.
 
HIS FLOOR PLAN
Detailed specifications of interior as laid out by Mr.
Roosevelt and initialed by him at lower right show his
painstaking effort to combine space and comfort in his
Dutch cottage.
