XI. James Roosevelt Memorial Library

Mr. Hackett submitted to the meeting certified copies of
Resolutions adopted on March 20 and March 26, 1947
respectively bt the Town Board of the Town of Hyde Park
approving the making of an offer to teh Executors to
purchase the James Roosevelt Memorial Library for $4500.
After discussion and on motion of Mr. Hackett it was
unanimously decided that the offer be accepted subject to
the approval of the Surrogate's Court and Mr. Koons was
directed to prepare the appropriate contract of sale.

XII. Washington Hollow property owned jointly with Henry
     Morgenthau, Jr.

Mr. Koons reported that although he had communicated to Mr.
Morgenthau and Mr. John E. Mack the offer of E. I. Hatfield
to purchase the one acre of the Washington Hollow property
adjacent to the Washington Hollow Cemetery for $500 no
reply as yet has been recieved from either Mr. Morgenthau
or Mr. Mack. After discussion it was unanimously decided
that Mr. Koons should write directly to Mr. Morgenthau
requesting either that he join in the sale of the one acre
for $500, that he purchase the estate's one-half interest
in the same for $250 or sell his one-half interest to the
estate for that amount.
