We have recieved information from American and British Sources that
General Karl Wolf, a high SS officer stationed in Northern Italy, has
arrived at Lugano accompanied by an OKW (repeat OKW) member of
Kosselring's staff together with Messers.  Simmer and Dollman.  Report
stated that these men are ready to discuss definite surrender.  If this
should indeed be the case, SAC may consider sending a member of his
staff into Switzedland in cilvilian clothes under secret cover.  We
have recieved previous reports in the last ten days with regard to
desire of  Germans in Northern Italy to negotiate conclusion of
hostilities but have not heretofore reported to department because we
did not take them too seriously.  Inasmuch as this latest report would
