During the daylight of October 4th, 30 medium bombers were dispatched
to attack railway, industrial and oil targets in North-West Germany.
Conditions were unfavorable, and icing trouble was experienced.
Nevertheless shipping and barges were attacked in the morning
and although results could not be observed, photographs were
taken. Amongst targets attacked were a large merchant vessel,
railway junction and oil refinery. Blenheims from Coastal Command
