      hundred and sixty survivors have been landed.
 
      In addition attacks in the same area on a slow convoy homeward 
      bound from Canada during the night of October 18th/19th resulted 
      in casualties to 15 British, Allied and neutral ships aggregating 
      about 47,300 tons. It is feared that the majority of these ships 
      have sunk cargoes were mainly steel and lumber.

Middle East. Libya.
 During an air attack on Bardia 
      on October 19th barracks and a large concentration of mechanical 
      transport were hit.
 
      
Abyssinia
. On the night of October 18th/19th our medium 
      bombers made four attacks on aerodromes where direct hits were 
      registered on a hangar and a workshop.
 
      
 
 
7. It is thought that aeroplanes which bombed Bahrein were 
      of the latest type of Italian long range bomber and that they 
      started from the Dodecanese and landed at an aerodrome in Eritrea 
      or Ethiopia. Although little damage was caused this incident 
      is noteworthy since it would mean a flight of about 2600 miles.
