I hope that his evidence before the Foreign Affairs Committee 
      will have helped forward the passage of the "Lease-and-Lend" 
      Bill. We are expecting Colonel Donovan too in the near future %, 
      and he should have a great deal of interest to say about the 
      Balkans, where his talks would seem to have had an excellent

It was indeed kind of you to have met my new Ambassador, Lord 
      Halifax, when he landed from H.M.S KING GEORGE V at Annapolis 
      - a gesture which I and my countrymen have deeply appreciated. 
      I feel sure that the better you get to know him, the more you
