John Hackett, Esq.,
226 Union Street,
Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

My dear Mr. Hackett:-

When I meet Mr. Dougherty on Saturday I will take up
the question of Rosy's land but I think that as Rosy has placed
the matter in your hands you must be the final one to say
whether arrangements are satisfactory.

If I do not hear from you I will make demands on him for,
(1) A fill-in or other sufficient space outside the tracks
on which to erect a boathouse and dock. (2).A grant of all
lands under water to the east of the tracks not actually
occupied by the railroad for four tracking purposes. (This
I consider important to prevent the possible future
location of the siding in front of our place.)

I shall expect to meet Mr. Brevoort on Saturday morning
either at the house or on the track and will call you up on
the telephone about ten A.M. Saturday.

              Very sincerely yours,
              Franklin D. Roosevelt
