       SIOE="-1" FACE="Courier New"> 22nd. Two air attacks took place 
      at HAL FAR aerodrome buildings and a Hurricane on the ground 
      were damaged. Our fighters probably destroyed three aircraft 
           and damaged two more.                           MALAYA.                           
                                                            
                                                            
       SIOE="-1" FACE="Courier New"> SINGAPORE ISLAND was attacked 
      by about hundred aircraft on the 21st and by 54 bombers escorted 
      by fighters on 22nd. The aerodromes were heavily bombed, five 
      of our aircraft being destroyed on the ground and several others 
      damaged. In air fighting our fighters destroyed nine aircraft, 
      probably destroyed one and damaged four. We lost ten fighters 
      but four pilots are safe. In addition A/A artillery claim nine 
                       aircraft destroyed.
