MR. HOPKINS.
Will you suggest to the President that he sends a message
to General Eisenhower and I will advise the King to send one
also, release to be simultaneous. I will then myself the next
day send a personal message to General Alexander in reply to
the telegrams which he has sent me reporting the execution of
the Directives he received from General Eisenhower. I will also
telegraph to General Eisenhower.
