September fifth in which I made report after inter-
 
viewing several officers, members of crew and number
 
of passengers of ATHENIA. My despatch settting forth
 
more detailed statement should reaffirm beond question
 
 that ATHENIA was torpedoed, this conslusion confirmed
 
by Captain Allen Kirk, Naval Attache London, who made
 
independent investigation. Believe any futher state-
 
ment by affidavit will be purely cumulative. Legation
 
 has American addresses of all galway survivors.
