SUMMARY:
The Director of Naval Construction, Amiralty, has in hand a
preliminary design of a "fleet" destroyer based on requirements
established by the Naval Staff.
1. The Director of Naval Construction is preparing
sketch plans of a destroyer for fleet use to meet requirements
established by the Naval Staff. The following are the character-
istics of the design:
