1.   It was agreed in the Confidential Protocol of the Moscow Supply 
Conference that the possibility of supply of a number of items you 
requested was to be investigated.
            Investigation shows that in addition to the items definitely 
offered in the Protocol the following item can be made available 
am requested and I have so directed.

     Item 9, Underwater Telegraph Cable,
 
     Item 10, Submarine Cables
 
     Item 11, Aluminum and Duraluninum,
 
     Item 18, Rolled Brass,
 
     Item 22, Tubes and other manufactures of copper,
 
     Item 31,Hot-Rolled Steel,
 
     Item 32, Steel Billets, Chrome-Silicon-Manganeme,
 
     Item 33, Cold-Rolled Steel Strip, 
 
     Item 34, Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet, 
 
     Item 35, Tinplate, 
 
     Item 36, Steel-wire
 
     Item 37, Steel-Wire-Ropes,
