I have received copy of the letter which you addressed under the date of   
March 16 to Field Marshal Alexander and the reply received thereto.  
 
 
I am deeply moved by the interest you are showing in the reconstruction of   
the new ITALY which will preserve an imperishable memory of your work.  
 
 
Your intervention with Field Marshal Alexander to bespeak his help in favor   
of that most worthy organization, the National Committe for the Distribution  
of Relief in Italy (ENDSI), is certai to bring usefull results, and I   
therefore hasten to tahnk you in the name of the Italian people which   
looks upon the National Committee for the Distribution of Relief in Italy   
as an efficacious instrument to alleviate its misfortunes, and which   
appreciates the work Your Excellency and your collaborators are doing for   
the rebirth of Italy.
